Actually, that reminds me, yesterday morning at 7:15 I spotted a little
egret at the big storm water outlet at Melbourne High school.
I mentioned an egret at Dight's falls a while back and (er, somebody,
was it Martin O'Brien?) said I should make mention of specific instances
so it can be documented.
I'll also contact Harriet off-line.

Subject: RFI: birds along the Yarra river especially near
Richmond Melbourne Vic.
Hi All,
Yesterday I spoke to Harriet Deans from the Alpine Club at Melbourne
Girls College in Richmond (Melbourne, Vic) who is undertaking a project
on the birds along the Yarra River, particularly in the Richmond area
near their school. They are wondering if there is anyone out there that
has information on birds in the area. The sort of information they are
after includes things like bird lists for the area, notable species that
occur along the Yarra, local bird conservation issues etc. If anybody
has information they could provide or can point them in the right
direction to find such information they would be most grateful.
Please respond directly to Harriet at
Cheers
Rohan
