 Hi,

Dave Donnelly and I went to have a look off Cape Schank on Saturday and found two blue whales feeding about 2.5 miles offshore. We viewed from the cliff tops just up from the car park at the lighthouse, without having to pay to enter. You'll need a good pair of bins / scope to see them well. There were reports of half a dozen off Barwon Heads the other day also. It will certainly be worth a look for anyone heading down when the next high pressure comes through. Blue whale numbers usually peak about Feb / March and tail off by May so they may not be around for too much longer.

Apologies for not getting this on over the easter weekend. I tried but the message bounced without me knowing until now.

Cheers,

Simon.
