Hi All, I have of course replied to Barry about his observation on the call of the Regent Honeyeater and referred him to my two ABW publications about this: Veerman, P.A. (1992) 'Vocal mimicry of larger honeyeaters by the Regent Honeyeater Xanthomyza phrygia', Australian Bird Watcher 14: 180-189. and Veerman, P.A. (1994) 'Batesian acoustic mimicry by the Regent Honeyeater Xanthomyza phrygia', Australian Bird Watcher 15: 250-259. and the recent article in the Bird Observer. Philip |
