Mike and b-ausers, Yesterday, on a birding trip in the Violet Town, Strathbogie and Euroa area with Laurie and Hazel Jones we saw White-throated Needletails on two occasions: Firstly about 11am, a single bird flying above Bonnie Doon Rd for a sminute or two, about 20km south of Violet Town, GPS (Aus 84) 36° 45' 17"S 145° 45' 59"E. and at 1.20pm, a group of over 15 birds (could have been many more as they were watched through gaps in the tree cover) above the Strathbogie Cemetery. GPS 36° 50" 17"S 145° 41' 30"E. These birds were around for about 30minutes. A pretty quiet day with only about 30 species seen.
