Hi all On Wednesday evening I saw an Australasian Bittern at Tolderol Reserve, on the shores of Lake Alexandrina. Perched in the reeds on the water's edge, I observed the bird preening until dark. Other interesting sightings in SA of late by various observers include the Hudsonian Godwit at Penrice, as well as Long-toed Stint and Pectoral Sandpiper. Also reports of Rock Parrots at Hindmarsh Island and Tumby Bay on the Eyre Peninsula. And I still get flocks of 20-30 Regent Parrots in my garden!
