BlankHi Everyone, My mate "wriggleon", who refuses to use even his Christian name, was commenting about Drongos in the Sydney region. Spangled Drongos are late summer, autumn and winter visitors to coastal areas south of Grafton where they are breeding residents. They generally arrive in from the north in early Febuary and depart in September. Like Noisy Pittas, Superb & Rose-crowned Fruit-Doves, they move south in autumn and winter all the way down the coast. I saw my first one this year on Monday 7/2/05 at Bateau Bay mangroves. Ofcourse when I lived at Camp Cove and my office was in Nielsen Park, I would see them regularly there from this time onwards. Alan Morris |
