Hi all,
BirdLife International through John Croxall got the albatross satellite
trackers
together. The result is an illustrated report showing the distribution
of nearly
all these satellite tracking results. It shows the nations and the
fishing managers
areas of responsibility and their overlap with albatross distributions.
Worldwide, 19 of 21 taxa are threatened. Australia has worked hard but
our
fishers are still accidentally catching and drowning albatrosses as
recently as Nov.
