Hi all

Thanks to a tip-off from another birder walking around I managed to see my
first Lewin's Rail at Braeside Park today. It showed well from the platform on
the small loop with boardwalk near Governer Road for about 5 minutes of the
half hour I sat there watching. It worked its way along the bank across and to
the right of the platform. Its a bird I have been looking for, for a number of
years now so I think i'll have a couple of celebratory drinks tonight.

Earlier at Edithvale bird hide a Marsh Sandpiper and a couple of white-necked
Herons were of particular interest amongst the more usual suspects.

Cheers
Tim
