I have had a copy of the Compact field guide for a few weeks and agree
with most of what Frank says.
My two practical criticisms are the small size of the print which my eyes find not easy to read and the stiffness of the pages. I find it difficult to flick through but I guess that will change with wear. I agree its an excellent field guide.
