Hi 30-50 WTNTs flying low above Peter Beattie's place in Wilston, Brisbane, 5 Kms north of CBD - as the swift flies. Dragged out for an early morning walk (6.30am, Monday 27.12.04) - no bins, not even glasses, but still able to make out the white rumps as the birds hawked low over the streets, but no means of id-ing Fork Tailed. The flock generally headed north west, feeding as they went, in no great hurry. Clear blue kies, no wind to speak of, no storms. -- Colin Reid So many birds, so little time...... -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
