I would have to agree with Greg that in twenty plus years there has not been a confirmed report of this species and it is most likely extinct. Elsewhere within the species range the call is conspicuous and readily detectable. It should not have eluded the many talented birders who have resided in NE NSW and SE Qld for several decades. I would like to be proven wrong.
