I have just received a clipping from what I presume is an Albany
newspaper reporting on [what it claims might be] the first photo of a
wild WGP at Fitzgerald NP taken by Brent Barrett, a member of the WGP
Recovery Team. It is possible to make the bird out in the newsprint
photo, and the article notes that the observers managed to get a short
video of a bird in fight. The clipping puts the estimated population
at 200 birds.
