Dear List Members,

I'll be going to Sydney this weekend and might find some spare time to fit in some birdwatching. Can anyone provide some information concerning the below target species I would like to see? I have searched through the archive but would like to request some more up-to-date info...

- Chestnut-rumped Hylacola and Beautiful Firetail in Curra Moors (Royal NP)? Where exactly? Easy to find?

- Where is the best rainforest birding, especially for (in decreasing order of importance) Green Catbird, Grey Goshawk, Leaden Flycatcher, Wonga+Topknot+White-headed Pigeon, Black-faced Monarch, Scarlet Honeyeater and Pilotbird. I've heard the gully 1KM north of the southern end of Lady Carrington Drive (Royal NP) is quite good, but are there any other (/better) spots?

- Is there any stake-out for Powerful Owl or - even better - Sooty Owl? I understand this is a bad time of year for finding owls at their usual haunts, but maybe I am mistaken.

I would be extremely grateful for any up-to-date info. Please feel free to reply off-list.

Thank you so much in advance.

Cheers
Frank
