Hi All
Saturday 11th December is the second annual count of Australian White Ibis in
the Sydney region which is being organized by Department of Environment and
Conservation (NPWS). Information on the count will be available on the
website: www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au from next week. We are hoping to get as
many birdwatchers as possible counting ibis in their local parks, tips and
wetlands and helping us find out more about where these birds forage and breed.
We have also colour-banded a number of chicks from three colonies in the
region (Bankstown ?Lake Gillawarna, Wollongong and Centennial Parklands) and
are hoping to get some re-sightings on the day. We greatly appreciate any
input from you, if you have a spare moment on the day.
Cheers
Cici
