Just a question about the young Koels/
When we lived in Laurieton (Mid North coast NSW,
South of Port Macquarie) , I had Koels visit the garden. Both Male &
Female arrived & the courting was very noisy!
Each year about mid January the female appeared
& was accompanied by an immature bird (sometimes there would be 2)
& according to my notes after a week or so with the young birds chasing the
female through the garden trees, they would just go.
Now does the female stay in the area & take the
young birds North with her?
