Victor,
If you're
looking to combine family activities with birding then perhaps a trip to Movie
World is in order. When I was there in January 2002 the wetlands near the front
gate were a hive of activity. There was a White Ibis breeding colony as well as
many other waterbirds eg Chestnut Teal, Wandering
Whistling Ducks, Comb-crested
Jacana, Magpie Geese, Pacific Black Ducks, Purple
Swamphen, Dusky Moorhen and Little Black
Cormorant. Nothing special but it I found it a very welcome addition to a long
day of waiting in queues.
