Hi All,

During the  Victorian Twitchathon, Tim Dolby's team sighted a Sand Plover down at Breamlea on the Thompson's Creek Estuary.

On the Monday the 8th November, i was able to relocate the bird and get a few photos, and confirmed that it was a Greater Sand Plover.

Commonly recorded on Mud Island in the centre of Port Phillip Bay, they are rarely (if ever) seen around the coastline or Port Philip Bay.

I could not find the bird yesterday.

Peter

P.S. I will send a photo of the bird to oz-bird-pix.
