I have been following this discussion with interest. Today I was talking with a neighbour who has been feeding bandicoots for a couple of years. They love potato salad she tells me. Last year she had a Buff-banded Rail in the garden for some months. She was also feeding a male koel on mince meat. I confessed to some disbelief! This year the koel is back and still eating mince meat. I give up!
