Hi all with response to Lynn and Greg's comments (below) on my Flame Robin sighting, the bird I saw was in flight, seen mostly from behind (so I didn't get a good look at the best ID feature). It had a slaty grey back (definitely not black which I felt ruled out any Scarlet/Red type robins), clear white flashes in the wings and white outer tail feathers (which I felt ruled out Rose robin). Happy to accept any other views. Tom |
