I'm 69 and still consider myself to be young ! But you are, I think, right. Most birders one meets are well into the wrinkler stage. Probably because they allow themselves more time for such activities than younger folk who are still in the frantic dash about phase, trying desperately to prove how important they are ( and staying in front of the tax man).
