Hi Folks,
Another scan of the Esplanade yesterday 24th failed to find the "unusual
wader" but the Asian Dowitcher was present. Also failed to find the 2
Broad-billed Sandpipers reported earlier in the week. Other species present
included Aust. Pelican, White-faced Heron, Little Egret, Eastern Reef Egret
(dark morph), Great and Intermediate Egret, Striated Heron, Aust. White
Ibis, Royal Spoonbill, Osprey, Black & Bar-tailed Godwit, Whimbrel, Eastern
Curlew, Marsh Sandpiper, Common Greenshank, Terek Sandpiper, Grey-tailed
Tattler, Great Knot, a solitary Red Knot, Red-necked Stint, Sharp-tailed
Sandpiper, Curlew Sandpiper, Pacific Golden Plover, Lesser & Greater
Sandplover, Black-fronted Dotterel, Masked Lapwing, Silver Gull, Gull-billed
Tern, Caspian Tern, Crested Tern and Little Tern (2).
