Clever beasties are ravens! I would have thought two week old frogmouth chicks would be a bit large to take but maybe they we waiting for them to fatten up. When I was working at The Wetlands Centre in Newcastle (10 years ago!) it was not uncommon for ravens to approach Wood Ducks with ducklings as they grazed on the lawn. The parents would fiercely defend the young. The ravens would surround the ducks and whenever a duck rushed out at a raven another raven would charge in and grab a duckling. This would be repeated over a period until the brood slowly disappeared. Mind you, this didn't seem to have a serious impact on Wood Duck numbers.
