Hi all,
Went down to a couple of spots in the Hawksbury
(50kms NW Sydney) earlier today here's the highlights:
At McGraths Hill, a
single Whiskered Tern from the road as well
as Royal Spoonbill, Red Kneed Dotteral
and a single Sharp-Tailed Sandpiper - hopefully we will be able
to get access again to this great site soon. At Pitt Town lagoon saw a couple of
Swamp Harrier and at Mitchell Park saw 53
species in about 2 hours, the most common probably being Scarlet
Honeyeaters they were everywhere! Also 2 Channel-Billed
Cuckoos, Wonga Pigeon, lots of White Throated
Gerygones, Crested Shrike-Tit, Dollarbird,
heard quite a few Shinning Bronze-Cuckoos,
and a couple of Jacky Winters.
Cheers,
Simon.
