Free Birding Database Program

Has anyone managed to get this to run under Windows? It won't create the 
default install directory or any other one that I try?
Incidentally I have developed a database using Visual Basic and MySQL that I 
am prepared to let anyone have who is interested in it - email me direct. 
Can't compare it to J-bird as I can't install J-bird yet (am in the process 
of getting a user name on SourceForge so I can report the bug, but it takes 
time) but may try and roill my ideas into J-bird or vice versa if they seem 
appropriate
