Whilst scanning the Paradise Rd Lagoon (in vain) for the Ruff at about 0900 this morning I saw a male Northern Shoveller (presumably the one that was there earlier this year) on the long spit of land that nearly reaches the road. Shortly after it flew off  with other shovellers - towards Lake Borrie.

Other good birds were two Bar-tailed Godwit (on Paradise Rd), 6 or so Glossy Ibis (Conservation Ponds), 3 Black-tailed NAtive Hens (road near hide) and a Pacific Golden Plover (mouth of Little River)

But no Ruff :-(
