Welcome to the list Rachel.
Not much around on Bowerbird breeding that is easily available I suspect,
but I offer the following for you.
>From Graham Pizzey's old edition (1980) titled 'A Field Guide to the Birds
of Australia' (Collins: Australia)
p. 368:
Nest: shallow, saucer-like; of sticks, lined with leaves; usually in fork
in head of tree in forest; occasionally in mistletoe, to 16m; usually
within a few hundred metres of active bower.
You will find blackberry removal is a long term job as they continue to
sprout from running, underground stems. The Victorian Department of
Primary Industries has a 'Notes Series' on weeds which can be accessed as
follows. Check it out for control of your blackberries.

then 'Weeds'
then 'Regionally prohibited weeds'
then 'Blackberry'
cheers, Martin
