Hi all
getting off the train at Killara station (N Sydney) this evening at about
6:30pm, and walking across the big car park on the west side of the rail
line to where mine was parked on Lorne Avenue, I was pleasantly surprised to
hear a Boobook Owl calling - the bird was high up in the trees on the north
boundary of the car park (ie near the junction of Lorne and Culworth
Avenues) and called strongly for several minutes while I listened and looked
for movement without success. Without a decent torch in the car, the chance
of spotting it were slim and I was due home, so I left it boobooking away!
Cheers
Tom Wilson
