Hi OzBirders,
Looking into going to Cairns around 10-15 October. I've only
birded up as far north as the South Coast of NSW, so I'm sure
there will be a lot of new birds to see up there.
Probably looking to complete my list of non-vagrant ducks, eg.
Radjah Shelduck, Magpie Goose, both Pygmy Geese and both Whistling
Ducks. Maybe Cassowary, Megapodes... the list will go on. I'll be
happy to see anything new.
I have not gotten airfares yet, so I am not sure which days, will
probably get them tommorow. Would like to probaby go up to Daintree.
Can I go by bus, or will I need a hire car? Thinking maybe Chris
Dahlberg's Cruise? Anyone know if I can bring a big camera lens onto a
cruise like this?
Any suggestions of an itenery for the 4-5 days would be great. Currently
going by myself.
