There are a number of video clips on the website -
http://thecouriermail.com.au/extras/frodocam/default.htm of the chicks
early moments. Also interesting to see there is another CBD family -
raises the question of the number of peregrines that can set up
territories in a CBD ...

Doting dad delivers first breakfast
Satish Cheney

IT was a big breakfast for a little chick, but with two hungry mouths
to feed, Brisbane's most famous falcon no doubt thought the pigeon was
a good choice for his offspring's first meal.
Frodo and Frieda hatched the first two of their four eggs yesterday,
with the other two chicks expected to emerge within days.
The first of the eggs hatched just before dawn yesterday and the second
about 1pm.
While Frodo was out gathering food, Frieda kept a close eye on her new
brood of fluffy, white chicks.
Queensland Museum raptor expert Greg Czechura believed the falcons
would be more relaxed once all the eggs were hatched.
"They'll be slightly less protective, as the chicks will be less
vulnerable than the eggs which are quite fragile. But don't approach
them; they can still attack," he said.
Frodo and Frieda gained worldwide popularity last year after The
Courier-Mail set up a webcam to watch the falcons nesting at Admiralty
Towers One. The pair successfully hatched four eggs last year, although
only one chick survived to adulthood.
They have previously hatched five other eggs at the site.
Admiralty Towers One manager Leon Azar was delighted to hear about the
hatching, and said a cleaner had seen Frodo flying towards the nest
with a kill.
He said residents at the towers were aware of the falcons, and so far
none of them had been attacked. He planned to post news of the hatching
on the towers' notice board.
The hatching follows last Thursday's hatching of three falcon eggs at
the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane, where two of the chicks have been named
Paris and Nicky.
