G'day allI have occasionally seen large magpie flocks in autumn (always looks like they are having some sort of legal hearing). Yesterday, early spring, I counted 52 birds together in a paddock east of Colac (sw Victoria). There appeared to be a mixture of ages and sexes. Anyone have any suggestions as to why they were congregating at this time of the year?
