Just back from the very soggy area around Dergholm - Poolaijelo in far
SW Victoria and over to Penola in South Australia; briefly looking at a
range of sites on roadsides, Blue Gum plantations, etc.
Biggest surprises - no treecreepers encountered at all; very common
Fallow Deer in the plantations! Blue-faced Honeyeater was slightly
unexpected, though I've seen them previously over near Douglas (Vic)
which is not that far away. Amazing landscape with all low lying
depressions full of water after the great rains.
