Hi All,
Of the notably absent last week, yesterday a male SATIN BOWERBIRD
was courting in it's Bower, holding up various bits of blue plastic to a
female, accompanied by the giveaway growling. She flew off, and on my way
back the male was calling calling calling from the top of a nearby eucalypt.
One AUSTRALASIAN GREBE., a family of WHITE-BROWED SCRUBWRENS and excitable
pair of VARIEGATED FAIRYWRENS were in their usual spots.

A BROWN GOSHAWK seen over the Valley, and the first AUSTRALIAN
KESTREL for a long while.
One HORSEFIELDS BRONZE, and several FANTAILED CUCKOOS around.
Otherwise the same selection as last week, except that the Black Kite didn't
reappear.
Lots of territorial fighting and foreplay.
                                                            Cheers
                                                                  Michael
