The first is indeed a cuckoo - Pallid if I am not mistaken.
I got a 404 with the second picture.

Subject: Help with Bird identification
While I was out with the camera this morning, I took a couple of pictures of
birds which I am having problems with. The first one is probably a cuckoo,
but I am not familiar with it - see

The other appears to be an immature Common Blackbird, but according to
Pizzey and Knight, their breeding times are Sept-Dec. Is this just an early
one? It appeared to be too small to be an adult female.

Any suggestions welcomed
