My wife and I are taking our first trip to the Northern Territory
starting next week and I'm looking for specific suggestions for
Litchfield National Park. I couldn't find any mention of it in McCrie
& Watson's "Finding Birds in Darwin, Kakadu, and the Top End" and
only a brief mention in Lloyd Nielsen's "Birding Australia". (He
reports that Florence Falls is considered the best birding site in the
park.)
Litchfield sounds like a beautiful park and I'm sure we'll enjoy it.
But if anyone has suggestions on particularly birdy spots, I'd be
grateful to hear them.
We've got 10 days for Darwin-Humpty Doo-Kakadu-Pine
Creek-Katherine-Litchfield-Darwin. I'm sure it will be far too short
but first trips always are!
