Scribbly Gum photo competition
for individuals or schools
 
To celebrate the launch of the new-look Scribbly Gum website ABC
Science Online is having an amateur nature photography competition.
 
Up for grabs is a 8 megapixel Digital Still Camera with x7 optical zoom and a 256MB memory stick worth $1800 as well as 5 binocular cameras and loads of stuff from the ABC shop.
 
To enter you must be an Australian resident and 18 years or over (or
have the permission of your parent of guardian if you're younger than
18). You can also enter as a school. Professional photographers may not enter this competition.
 
You can enter up to five photos. Entries in the school section must be submitted by a teacher on behalf of the school, but the photograph must be taken by a student in the class and there is a limit of one entry
per class.
 
The competition closes September 1 2004 and the winners will be
announced September 20 2004.

How to enter:

 To enter the Scribbly Gum Photo Competition, all you need to do is
provide your contact details and upload a thumbnail and a full sized
image of your photo by using our online registration form. Details
required include your name, address, email and phone number (so we can contact you if you win). If you're competing for the schools' prize,
we'll need your school's details too.

To be eligible for the competition you must submit two versions of your photo in digital format as either jpegs or gifs. They MUST be the
specified sizes and named in the described manner

  1. Thumbnail - 120 pixels wide, height variable. Named:
lastnamefirstname_t; for example smithjohn_t.jpg or
peacockelizabeth_t.gif

  2. Fullsize - no greater than 500 pixels wide, height variable. Named
lastnamefirstname. For example smithjohn.jpg or peacockelizabeth.gif

NB: If you enter more than once please number your photos. You may
enter up to five photos. For example smithjohn_t1.jpg, smithjohn_t2.gif etc and peacockelizabeth1.jpg, peacockelizabeth2.gif etc.

You should also make sure you've read the Competition Terms &
Conditions.
