Welcome

Prisoner to Playwright - Nathan Bennison, 'Sea Change' 13th July, 2004

Many of you will be familiar with the name Chris Hassell in many Broome
postings. Here's your chance to put a face to the name.
George Negus Tonight takes an intimate look at ordinary people doing
extraordinary things: great Australian characters who might be the people
next door with their unique spin on Australian life.

This week on GNT People:
Tuesday July 13, 2004, 6.30pm ? "Sea Change"

Mower Man to Bird Watcher - Chris Hassell
Chris Hassell is an ornithologist and like the migratory birds he watches so
closely, UK born Chris flew to the other side of the world and ended up on
the shores of Broome in Western Australia. Before Chris made the ultimate
sea change he made a living pushing lawnmowers around in his small village
in Leicester but his lifelong passion for birds finally led him to swap
countries and vocations. He now operates his own birding and nature tours
around Broome's beautiful Roebuck Bay. Brendan Hutchens finds a very happy
bird watcher indeed.
