Hello all
We live in inner suburban Brisbane (7 km north from the GPO as the corella
flies). In the Park behind us there are currently over 300 Little Corellas
who are systematically digging up the hockey fields for some sort of grass
root. They have been there for about a week now and had a hard time on
Saturday when the place was alive with hockey players. Also with them today
were a few Long-billeds, a few Sulphur-crested Cockies and about a dozen
Galahs. Oh and also the local Galella was there. Nearby there was a noisy
flock of about 25 Blue-faced Honeyeaters having some sort of gathering. The
local Tawny Frogmouth family were home and a couple of Kookaburras were
singing in the sun. Below them a Coucal was going about its business.
Heaps of Striated Pardalotes around at the moment also.
I'll leave the birds in bars topic alone at this juncture.
