 Hi Mark,
              LHI and Norfolk Is. should be in Australian Field Guides,
Morcombe does,(inadequately) but see the comments from Jon Penhallurick and
others on this thread.
                As a twitcher, following, distantly, in the footsteps of
twitching greats like Mike Carter, any excuse to increase the Australian
list is acceptable, Ashmore Reef, Christmas, Cocos, Macquarie, Heard et al
islands are just out there waiting.
                 Although Australian Territory, unfortunately birds seen in
or over the grounds of diplomatic missions overseas seem only to be
acceptable as a subset of the Aussie list. Would be an interesting challenge
 though.
