Thanks Ralph, The phasmid is currently extant in the wild only on Ball's Pyramid, 23k south of LHI itself, but note some of the other comments in this thread. There is a highspeed cruiser at LHI called "The Phasmid" which, at some cost, will take groups out to the pyramid in an hour or less, I don't think you get a look at the insect though. Balls Pyramid up close is nonetheless very impressive. Othe boats take a bit longer but will take you there for less.
