Hello,
My name is Brendan McGarry and I rescently subscribed to this list.
I live in Seattle, Washington, USA and I am going to be making a trip down
to Australia July/August with my parents. We will be visiting family but we
are going to get a lot of birding in too. Because we are visiting family
and my dad wants to show me a lot of places we are going to be all over
spending a week in four different locations. My mom and I are flying into
Sydney in early July, then meeting my dad a week later and flying to Cairns,
then to Darwin (staying in Kathrine with my Uncle and Aunt), and finally to
Melbourne. It would be wonderful if people could suggest good places to
bird and jsut see wildlife that would great. I know a lot of the major
places like Kakadu, Daintree, the Atherton Tableland, Royal NP, etc. but
there are always good local places that I know I would miss out on if I
didn't ask. Also if anyone would be willing to take me or me and my parents
out birding in any of these locations it would be great. Thanks in advance!
(oh yeah, I forgot that in Cairns we will be renting a car and probably in
Sydney as well)
