Hi there

I cant comment on the camera directly but i would definately advise going to
somewhere like www.birdforum.net and asking on the forums there, you will get
advice from people all over the world using exactly the same models of camera.
They really helped me choosing mine (though its not an SLR) Its also a pretty
good birding site in general, though be warned, browsing through the gallery is
extremely addictive.

Tim

A colleague, with three years experience of digiscoping using cool-pix
cameras, wishes to convert to a digital SLR. Having used a film SLR camera
early on he is inclined to think that the results would be good. Does anyone
have experience in the use of such an equipment combination? A major
problem is the weight of the Canon 300D and the strain it would exert on the
screw thread inside the lens mount to which it would be attached to the
telescope. He is prepared to do the preparatory work himself but would seek
to avoid repeating the trials of others. If you wish to contact him directly
you could do so at
