Hi all,
Yesterday Nathan Waugh, Rob Peters and I visited Barren
Grounds Nature Reserve in hope of some specialties. Rob is an
American birder who had not seen a heath community before so
most of the birds were new to him. There was light rain and
very low cloud for the 2.5 hrs we were there (12:30 -
3:00pm), but we still managed some good birds. Species marked
with a * were heard but not seen and those in capitals are
heathland specialists.
Species list:

Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo (4)
Rainbow Lorikeet* (1)
GROUND PARROT (2) (1 flushed and 1 calling)
