g'day all,
I have recently purchased a copy of:
"Life along land's edge .. wildlife on the shores of Roebuck Bay, Broome"
162 pages ISBN 0 7307 5540 1
Published by West Australia's Dept of Conservation and Land Management (CALM)

Authors are Danny Rogers, Theunis Piesma, Marc Lavalaye, Grant Pearson, Petra de Goejj,
with stunning photos by Jan van de Kam

Copies are available from the Broome Bird Observatory (BBO) for $39.95 + $9.00 postage
An order form is available from

PO Box 1313, Broome, WA 6725

Phone:     08 9193 5600

Fax:         08 9192 3364

Email:   m("birdsaustralia.com.au","bbo");">

I suggest the book is essential reading for all Wader/Shorebird enthusiasts.

It is not a book that has to be read from front to back. On every page was something I found of great interest.

The 8 Chapters are further split so it easy to look up a chosen subject by referring to the Table of Contents.

Examples: Heat stress, Roosting on small tides, Table manners, Wriggly worms, Songbirds in the mangroves.

I just wished I had the book before staying at the BBO last September

Regards
Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.

ps Have I overlooked BA publicity re the availability of this book ?
