Following the reports of jaegers by Edwin Vella and Dion Hobcroft around
Sydney, I would also like to report that Arctic Jaegers are also in
evidence in Jervis Bay (NSW south coast). I observed two birds on Saturday
morning, which according to the descriptions and drawings in HANZAB were in
second immature breeding plumage. Yesterday afternoon I observed four birds
through my scope parasiticing food from Crested Terns. Their speed and
dexterity in the air made for fascinating viewing.

regards
Alastair
