J.D. McDonald in his publication The Illustrated Dictionary of
Australian Birds has the following reference:
Black-cheeked Honeyeater: See Yellow-faced Honeyeater. Given by Latham
in 1821 who also gave yellow-faced and species named Chrysops 'golden
face' in 1801.

Subject: Black-cheeked Honeyeater
G'day Birders,
I've just been looking at an aust bird photo site
(http://www.birdphotos.com.au/ ) thanks to being told about it by Edwin
Vella and I found a reference to a 'Black-cheeked Honeyeater'. Could
anyone tell me what this is?? Google only found one link other than the
original (at www.deh.gov.au/minister/env/2003/mr08sep03.html )
Thanks
Graham Turner
