Hi All

Here at Sans Souci - Botany Bay - we have a flock of never less than eight in residence which constantly screetch and decorate the local pine/eucalypt and casurina trees with their presence. Most of the day they can be seen wheeling about the suburb in their beautifully "untidy" style of flight and I consider myself most fortunate. Problem is that it's hard to get anything done as you tend to run to the window every time you hear them coming around again. Sometimes the flock is joined by others and may be boosted to more than 20. To memory, they first appeared in the area after bushfires totally devastated the Royal National Park in the early 1990's. I would be interested to know if anyone had seen them around Botany Bay prior to this.

I've also seen them at Sydney Airport, Maroubra and, on more than one occasion, on Cammeray Golf Course.

Cheers - Ricki
