Edwin Vella 16/1/04 4:52 PM > I was wondering if anybody has seen Hooded Plovers in recent months at Lake > Conjola or in any nearby beaches (Jervis Bay, Ulladulla etc) on the NSW South > Coast? Yes Edwin, Barb Dickson, one of my Caloundra sandbanks team, holidays there (Manyana) all the time, and has just returned. She said that she saw one chick when she was there, although she understood that two chicks had hatched. She said that she saw the chick early in her holiday, and not afterwards, but that they may have moved further away. There were no Little Terns.
