Happy New Year everyone!

Went for a quick morning scan of the WTP, Werribee on Monday morning. Overall it was uncharacteristically quiet (only 56spp in 2.5 hrs) but a few good birds....

On the drive down I noticed a tern hawking over a small dam right next to the Geelong Road near the Little River turn-off - too large for a Whiskered. I stopped and had excellent views of a Gull-billed Tern.

Not much at the Treatment Plant - 2 Common Terns at Kirk Pt., 1 Banded Stilt at the Werribee River mouth and 2 Marsh Sandpipers at Austin Road.

Cheers,
Greg
