Black Bitterns at Deep Creek

Hi Tom,
      I dropped in on Wed 31/12, but had no luck. The only notable sighting
was the Pied Currawong feeding it's juvenial. Well I thought it was
notable, because the Currawong can't understand how it could have such an
ugly offspring, this being a Channel Billed Cuckoo.
      Anyhow Bruce Cox sent photo's dated 27/12 and therefore the BB is
still likely to be around.

Hi all and happy new year.
Have any Sydney birders seen the Black Bitterns at Deep Creek recently?
(Trying to convince my wife & kids that a quick detour on our way back from
the beach one day would be worthwhile...)
