Happy New Year to All,

Last year, and it only seems like yesterday, Maria and I drove to Cairns to collect cousins from Germany who were coming to visit.

As we drove out of the yard we disturbed a flock of Red-browed Finches. At the top of the Gillies Range with more Red-brows were at least four Blue-faced Finches. On the Cairns Esplanade were Nutmeg Manikins. Stopping for a swim in the Mulgrave we disturbed Crimson Finches, Chestnut Manikins and yet more Red-brows.

Regards,
Alan
